Privacy Policy

The Florida Medical Rights Association (FMRA) is a Florida nonprofit advocacy organization. This page explains how we handle information you give us on floridamedicalrights.org.

What we collect

If you join our list, we collect your name and email address. Phone number is optional. If you provide a phone number and check the consent box, we also record that you agree to receive calls and text messages. We do not collect Social Security numbers, payment cards, or medical records through this site.

How we use it

• Email updates on Florida healthcare legislation, patient rights, and FMRA work. We do not send frequent blasts. On average you can expect about one email per month, and more only if legislation is moving.
• If you opt in, occasional calls or texts about the same topics (for example a hearing reminder). Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Consent is not required to receive email.
• To reply if you email us or ask a question.

Calls and text messages

We will not call or text you unless you provide a phone number and check the box agreeing to receive calls and text messages from FMRA. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP, and of calls by telling us or emailing contact@floridamedicalrights.org. Email signup still works if you skip the phone number.

We do not sell or share your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your name, email, or phone number. We do not share the list with other organizations for their marketing. We use Brevo to send email (and texts, if you opt in). Brevo processes your information only to deliver those messages for us.

Unsubscribe and deletion

Every email includes an Unsubscribe link. Use it anytime. You may also email us to be removed from email, calls, and texts, or to ask what we have on file. We keep list records only as long as you remain subscribed or as needed to honor opt-outs.

Cookies and this website

We may use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how people use the site — for example which pages are visited and from what kind of device. Google may set cookies and collect approximate location and usage data. We do not use this for advertising, and we do not sell that information. You can block analytics cookies in your browser. Your browser may also store a local signup confirmation so we do not ask you to join twice on the same device.
